Aron Ralston, author of the Best-selling book "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" (127 Hours film), got arrested.

Reuters:

DENVER (Reuters) - Aron Ralston, whose harrowing tale of amputating his own forearm after he became trapped in a Utah canyon became a best-selling book and later a Hollywood film, was jailed in Denver on suspicion of domestic violence, court records released on Sunday show.
Ralston, 38, was arrested Saturday night and was being held in the Denver County jail where he faces one count of assault and one count of "wrongs to minors," according to jail records.
A spokeswoman with the Denver Police Department told Reuters she could not provide details of the incident.
It was not immediately clear if Ralston had retained an attorney.
Ralston made headlines in 2003 when he amputated his right forearm with a pocketknife to free himself after a boulder dislodged and trapped him inside a Utah canyon.
Ralston, an experienced outdoorsman, was canyoneering alone in the remote canyon when the mishap occurred.
He wrote a best-seller about his ordeal titled, "Between a Rock and a Hard Place."
In 2010, the story was made into a movie, "127 Hours," starring James Franco. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
Ralston is scheduled to appear in court on Monday afternoon. In suspected domestic violence cases, a defendant cannot bond out of jail before appearing before a judge.

Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago, gestures a la Hunger Games’ lead character Katniss Everdeen, played by actress Jennifer Lawrence.

Article from Philstar.com
MANILA, Philippines - Fuelled by Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago’s privilege speech last Dec. 4 against the pork barrel scandal and its alleged mastermind, more than a million clicked “like” on her official Facebook fan page the following day.
According to the administrators of her Facebook page, a photo of Santiago thanking her followers was posted on her Facebook account last Dec. 5.
The photo garnered 255,838 likes, 6,232 comments, 4,189 shares, and reached nearly three million users by the end of the day. As of yesterday, the count stood at 1,055,376 likes.
Santiago proved her popularity among the youth by drawing to the Senate some 300 students from 15 universities who watched her deliver her oration against what she called “the forces of darkness.”
The universities represented included: UP Diliman, UP Manila, UP College of Law, De La Salle University, University of Sto. Tomas, Far Eastern University, San Beda Law Student Council, Adamson University, Lyceum of the Philippines, Fatima University, Centro Escolar University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, West Visayas State University, Bulacan State University, and La Verdad Christian College.
The students overflowed the Senate gallery, and about half of them had to stay in a separate hall to watch Santiago speech on TV.
Santiago was later mobbed by the students, who she accommodated by granting photo ops for each university delegation. She was showered with hugs, kisses on her hand, and vigorous handshakes, which nearly caused her to lose balance due to her chronic fatigue syndrome.
In social media, Santiago trended on Twitter immediately after starting her speech. She went viral after she made reference to the popular book trilogy and movie franchise, The Hunger Games during her speech.
Netizens responded with “photoshopped” images of Santiago in movie stills from the movie. Even Sen. Pia Cayetano tweeted about Santiago holding out three fingers, a gesture associated with the Hunger Games heroine played by actress Jennifer Lawrence. In the movie, the gesture is a reminder that the Dark Days must never be repeated.
Meanwhile, Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV said a truce should be on the word war between Santiago and Senate minority leader Juan Ponce Enrile and not on an investigation into Enrile’s alleged crimes committed during martial law.
Trillanes said Santiago’s statements on Enrile’s alleged illegal activities, ranging from illegal logging to killings during martial law, should be investigated by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). The Senate may also start a probe once the speech is referred to the Blue Ribbon committee, he said.
“I believe that the privilege speech of Sen. Miriam was not only made to defend herself from the personal attacks made by Sen. Enrile but it also contained valuable information that could be used as basis for further investigation,” Trillanes said.
“I believe we ought to focus on the content of her speech rather than the style with which she said it,” he added.
For his part, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano has recommended that the Senate review its own Code of Ethics in the light of Santiago’s controversial privilege speech.
“Allegations thrown in the Miriam-Enrile word war should be investigated by the Department of Justice (DOJ) or Ombudsman, while Senate reviews and strengthens its own Code of Ethics,” Cayetano said.
Cayetano added that the DOJ and the Ombudsman should act on Santiago’s revelations against Enrile rather than keep silent on issues.
After her scathing privilege speech, Santiago wrote Justice Secretary Leila de Lima a letter seeking a probe on Enrile.
Trillanes and Cayetano also engaged Enrile in a bitter conflict early this year when they confronted the veteran senator over his alleged favoritism in giving out Christmas bonuses last year.
Santiago also blew her top after she learned from Sen. Pia Cayetano that they did not get special bonuses from the Enrile leadership in December last year.
Enrile explained then that the amounts were not Christmas bonuses but were actually part of maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE), which he gave out as part of his prerogative as Senate president.
Palace won’t block DOJ probe
Malacañang, for its part, said it would not block the DOJ from investigating Enrile.
Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said yesterday over dzRB that the move was part of the DOJ’s mandate.
The comment came after De Lima said she was particularly considering an investigation into Enrile’s alleged involvement in illegal activities in the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) as insinuated by Santiago.
“Offhand, we can look into allegations pertaining to alleged smuggling, alleged illegal logging, and alleged gambling, especially online, those related to CEZA,” De Lima said.
She also said the government had in fact initiated an investigation into online gambling operations at CEZA during the tenure of the late Interior secretary Jesse Robredo.
“The Philippine National Police has undertaken operations against online gambling there but the operators justified it on the basis of license issued by the CEZA. They were also able to get temporary restraining order (TRO) from local courts and even turned the tables on the law enforcers,” De Lima recalled. – With Christina Mendez, Aurea Calica

Himamaylan City Parade of Lights

To all the students and teachers of Himamaylan National High School who participated in the Parade of Lights contest of this year, CONGRATULATIONS on winning!!! Job well done!

Rustle Ruffle Russell whatever!

i made this little meme...hehe

So far, in this season of Survivor, this is the best episode and best Tribal Council... Very funny. I don't know if Tyson was just throwing some jokes to Hayden or he really means it. If he means it, damn! it's true!! Blonde guys do exist too...Hahaha.

Kudos to Ciera for being brave and have guts to decide to side with Hayden and Katie and play draw rocks. I adore her right now. At first, I don't like her that I wanted her to get out on the game because she was just useless. But thank God, Caleb save her ass..now I know how smart she is.

What happened to Multiply.Com?

Oh my God.. Multiply is closed? Why I did not know about this before? I have never open my multiply account for years, maybe.

A while ago, I visited the website of my idol Miss Cheyser Pedregosa (www.thewalkingrecessionista.com) and click the 'shop twr' tab because I am curious if what was that. And then boom! Here's what I read.

Too bad, I have many pictures uploaded there and I wasn't able to backup before the website has been shutdown. :(

Cherry Mobile? To be honest, every time i saw or heard 'cherry mobile', the first thing that comes to my mind is "Cheap China made phones". Branded by Philippines, but specs still made in China.

But this new one (to be released soon) is so interesting. It's worth Php2,399.00 only. They say it's tough dust and waterproof. Shockproof is not mentioned..hehe. In addition, there is a microSD card slot, 1.3 megapixel camera and there is a Swiss Army Knife??? Interesting right???

Would you trust this product?

Anne Curtis slaps other Celebrities

(can't find the original author of this article)

JR Isaac is in his forties, and is currently the editor and publisher of Circuit Magazine, a free city-life guide providing information on parties, places, and events.

He is also engaged in boutique advertising and remains a creative consultant for events, which makes him a rather connected fellow, something that he admits he is.

He says that last November 22, “a typical Friday night,” he and some friends were at a favorite hangout, the Privé Luxury Club, located in The Fort Strip at the Bonifacio Global City complex, Taguig City.

These friends included Leah de Guzman, Charina Zarte, Nix Alano, and showbiz personalities Phoemela Barranda, Jake Cuenca, and John Lloyd Cruz, aka JL. Also at their table was Privé co-owner JM Rodriguez.

They were on the club’s second floor, in the VIP section, one half of which had been cordoned off that night for a private party. That private party, it turned out, was a bachelorette affair hosted by Anne Curtis for a girlfriend about to get married.

The layout of the VIP floor, explains JR, is such that the toilet was shared by the guests on that floor. The toilet entrance was also near the VIP bar. JR adds, “If you’re going to the toilet, you have no choice but to pass near the cordoned-off area.”

He relates the seconds leading up to the incident. “Leah and I are just between the toilet door and the bar. I think I was standing and waiting for my drink, talking to Leah.

“Then we heard a loud voice saying, ‘Who’s banging my door?’ We didn’t know who or where it was at first! Just loud, coming from behind us. When we turned around, we saw, stepping out of the toilet, Anne, very mad.

“Then all of a sudden, pak-pak. My left cheek. Then Leah was also slapped. Then JL was also slapped. “This all happened so fast. Anne was making so much noise, shouting at JL: ‘You are an addict!’

“Ang bilis, di ko na alam ang nangyayari. Basta wala akong narinig from JL, he behaved like a gentleman. Makikita mo talaga kung sino yung well-mannered pag may ganyan.”

The next thing JR remembers is that Anne had turned her ire on Phoemela, and said, ‘You, what are you doing here?’” JR continues, “Anne screamed, with finger pointing at Phoem the whole time, like she pointed it at JL. She had all this rage, she was agit [agitated].

“She was drunk but, di ba, when you’re drunk, you’re wobbly? She was not wobbly. She was strong, parang she could hurt us all! “Anne screamed, with finger pointing at Phoem Barranda, saying, ‘I can buy you, your friends, and this club!’

“Commotion na. Pinaghiwalay na kami ng bouncers ng management.” Asked to recall how he and his friends Leah and John Lloyd—the three who had been slapped—reacted, JR says: “Shocked! We didn’t know how to retaliate. Wala. “I was ushered away. I was trembling. They calmed me down.

“A lot of people saw the whole thing. I had never been slapped like that before. I didn’t know what to do.

“The management and [club] PR all came to our table and apologized to us. They saw the whole thing. They know we were the ones slapped. “In the end, we stayed. We didn’t allow it to ruin our night.

“Then, minutes after the commotion, I saw Anne escorted out. We, we stayed. We had been coming here so many times! Anne was not a regular, so why should we let her make us leave? “But we didn’t want to talk about it. It was a relaxed night with friends.”

ANNE CURTIS’ APOLOGY

JR says that the incident must have lasted less than an hour, between the hours of 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. of that Saturday, November 23.

When he woke up, it was towards late afternoon of Saturday. He saw that many texts and calls had come in. Word on the incident had spread.

As he tells , “I can only guess that it was because there were so many witnesses, guests of the club, that night. And remember, I wasn’t the only one slapped. “And each of us has friends, who tell friends, ang dami na! I found out we were all receiving texts, calls, about the same time. All asking if it was true.”

Also that same day, at about 4 p.m., JR says he received a text message from Anne. It said (published as is): “JR! It’s Anne. Got your number from Monique! Tried messaging you on Facebook this morning. Just want to apologize for my behavior! I’m so so so sorry. I’m so ashamed Frown would never act like that in the right state of mind! I’m so sorry. Please forgive me!”

JR says he answered, also by text (published as is): “Hi Anne, just woke up and read your text. Apology accepted… On a lighter note, you owe me a tight hug!!! Going back to sleep, nursing my hang over.”

We asks JR if there had been bad blood between him and the movie/TV star before this, and he answers, “None. None. We know each other way back! Both of us, we were batchmates in Metro Body Shots, around 2004 or 2006. I escorted her once in a Mega event, and she became cover pa of Circuit! So, socially noon pa.”

He also says that, although the last time he was with Anne was around two years ago—”at a Century Tuna event in Boracay, she’s an endorser”—he has had no history of a skirmish with her before, during, or after the November 23 incident.

“Sabi nga ng friends ko, ‘Ikaw pa?’ Kasi, I’m really friendly. I like to be friends with everybody,” JR says, still sounding a bit befuddled.

When we suggests that JR has no anger in his voice and that he seems to have forgiven Anne quickly, the fellow answers, at once seriously and lightly: “Never harbor ill feelings. It’s bad for the skin.”

Adam Levine and James Younghusband on my dream lastnight.

I have a weird dream last night. It's so funny. Hahahaha. I was in a place which I am not familiar. I was walking my 2 months old nephew with his stroller. And it was weird that I was struggling because he's too heavy??? Then I saw James Younghusband who is carrying a baby too....And he walks so slowly in front of me, and I was annoyed to him and so I overtake him. When I look back to him, it was Adam Levine!!! James Younghusband was gone. Adam Levine was riding on his bicycle and he saw me struggling with the weight of my nephew..Hahahaha...

Adam: Girl! you need a hand?
Me: No thanks Im okay.

Then in a second I was riding with him on his Harvey Bike!?? lmao

And so then.... Wtf where's my nephew???? Then I woke up! Lol

Good Morning.... :))

"The Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie was pronounced dead on August 23, 2013 after her second major operation. Angelina wishes to be interviewed on cam to give her inspirational message to all her FANS. Watch the Original footage from Hollywood Access."

REALLY??? Whatever! This is a scam and do not believe on this issue! Angelina Jolie is still alive. So never ever click any link of this post. It might be a virus. It is funny because the fake news says she was dead August 23, 2013 but it is September 22 now! It's been a month! hahaha

Remember the RIP Jackie Chan too???? It was bullshit! So next time if you heard any news like this one (celebrity dies), just visit the Yahoo website. I am sure yahoo will headline a news like this.

So be careful! Think Before You Click! <3

Yellowish fingernails because of excessive wearing of nail polish.

photo from www.modernhandreadingforum.com
Article from:  Kristie Leong M.D.

If you constantly wear nail polish, you may be depriving your nails of the oxygen they need to maintain a natural color. Yellow fingernails can be the result. One solution is to let your nails go natural periodically instead of covering them with polish. Another option is to apply a clear base coat before applying your chosen nail polish. This appears to reduce the incidence of yellow fingernails. These are some simple steps you can take to get rid of yellow fingernails, although it's important to understand the underlying cause before using cosmetic methods to reduce their appearance. If there's any doubt as to the cause of your own fingernails, see your doctor for evaluation and reassurance.

Nail Thing Forgotten :(

So basically, this is what happens to my fingernails when i am super super super very busy in my life. I felt sorry to my poor little fingernails. :( I never touch 'her' for a week.

Also, I have a bad habit of scratching the nail polish in my fingernails when I have something in my mind or I'm into 'deep thinking'. Hahaha

I think tomorrow I'm free. So finally, I have time to do my fingernails

Hmmmmmm...(thinking of a good color)

So bye for now....mwaaaah <3

Nail polish brand that I REGRET buying.

Nail polish brand that I regret buying. I’m sorry, but I really really regret of buying your products. To my readers please read why.

Klik – It is so watery and two coats are not enough. I could try the third coating and it looks okay but it is so thick already and I don’t like it. I feel like my fingers were covered by bubble gum.

Anyway I bought 4 colors and these are; Regular Mango Shake, Regular Ube Shake, Regular Green Pepper and Regular Cindy.

So please don’t buy this nail polish brand. It's a waste of money. There are lots of cheap nail polish that will satisfy you.

Love yah! mwaaah <3

Cairuo Nail Polish

Look what I've got today! Cairuo Nail Polishes which I bought these at Gaisano Grand Mall in Kabankalan City. My sister introduced this brand to me last week. She bought one of the shades of blueberry. This brand has many colors and i choose these four. GREEN#20, ROSE#09, BLUEBERRY#16 and ROSE#11.

It was nice to apply and it's scented. It smells like a 'plastic balloon' when you smell it but when it dries to your nails it smells like a bubble gum. :)

This nail polish brand is cheap and it is so affordable. Its 12ml bottle is worth Php 25.00 and its 16ml is worth Php 29.00

Affordable right?!

UPDATE: Tinapon ko ang mga to! Madaling matuyo. Hehe
